Today was a gorgeous day! Church was nice- I enjoy going. (Still too much singing for my sad voice, but love the community feeling. I'm actually feeling less self conscious about being a church-goer. Spoke to Alea (still sick) and she helped out with Cam's Faith portion for his Webelos badge. She's also not feeling well still. I might make dinner tomorrow again. No idea what. Also found out the Moira D. is an instructional aide in Cam's class- she is so gorgeous and gentle seeming. I'd like to get to know her better.
Took Cam to the bookstore where he perused the scifi shelves and bought two books with his own money. Then we headed to the food court- panda express for him and mongolian bbq for me. Cam's decided mongolian bbq is pretty awesome and will choose it next time.
Jeff went to BIll's to work on his Australian impression for the desert battle. I can't wait to see the pictures and hear the tales. He drank too much Pimm's and (ugh) smoked too much. He says there's something about old wool that makes him want to drink old English liquor and smoke (ugh.) I'm going to do something fun with letters to the unit. I hope it works and they get it.
Then we came home and Jen and Lessa came over for some sewing and Sense & Sensibility and a lot of talking. Lessa brought some goodies from TJoe's and we snacked and yakked for a while. Jen did some quilting, Lessa some cutting out of gloves, Cam showed off, and I did some embroidery. Just about finished with that ONE dishtowel (of ten) that I started about 18 months ago. It's cute.
I made a spontaneous pasta dish with some yum sauce. Jeff came home and charmed, as he does. Jen brought garlic bread and dessert- caramel sauce with some vanilla ice cream. Delish! I felt stuffed.
Now we're in bed, with the computers going watching An Idiot Abroad. It's spectacular... Karl Pilkington is either a idiot or completely brilliant. Almost time to go to bed now.
